FREE CONCERT/FELLOWSHIP
Monday, June 3 we will welcome the Youth Choir from Central Baptist Church, Fountain City, Tennessee. The choir will present a 45-minute, free musical program consisting of choral anthems, instrumental music, and an old-time gospel sing-along. This event will be held in the Sanctuary and followed by a light reception in the Celebration Hall. If you are available, please join us at 10:00am for this Monday morning concert. For more information, contact Chris Goodson: 634-1412 x13 or chris@wesleyssi.org.

WESLEY VOLUNTEERS
We would like to say a special thank you to our faithful volunteers who make it possible for the ministries of Wesley to function smoothly and effectively for the Lord. As we move into summer, some of you may want to make the most of opportunities to travel. If you are unable to serve as scheduled, please remember to find a replacement for your volunteer position and notify your ministry leader and the church office of any substitutions. Again, thank you for all you do!

MOMENTUM BOX UPDATE
Our Men’s Breakfast Group continues its Momentum Box project, delivering boxes of food to FaithWorks for distribution to local, needy families. Last year, 162 boxes were provided; this year to date, 72 boxes have been delivered. The men’s group and Wesley’s congregation have faithfully supported this outreach in the past, and we hope to continue the program. However, our funds are getting low. If you wish to help, please make your check payable to Wesley UMC, with Momentum Box in the memo line, or use an offering envelope for cash donations. Thank you for caring.

SUMMER IN WESLEY CAFÉ
We are very grateful to Bennett Delaney for his freshly cooked foods on Sunday mornings! He is taking the summer off, but the café will continue to be open 8:45 to 10:15am. We welcome your home cooked contributions! If you are interested in bringing food, volunteering as a host, or making a donation, please contact Janet Higginbotham at 634-6661.

WEDNESDAY NIGHT SUPPERS
This Wednesday Night Supper season has been filled with good fellowship and food, fascinating Bible studies, and exciting programs for children and youth. Please enjoy the summer break and join us again when WNS activities resume in the fall.
OKGO
Please keep us in your prayers this week as 30 Wesley students partner with churches all over the county to serve our community through OKGO. Together, students will worship each night and serve the community each day through The Boys & Girls Club, FaithWorks, and Morningstar.

REACH & BEACH
All youth are invited to join us for Reach & Beach on Wednesday, June 5 from 11:00am-5:00pm. We will take on a small service project, lunch, and an afternoon on the beach. Permission forms are available in the youth room, and the cost is $10. Sign-up deadline: June 2. For more info, call David Herndon: 634-1412 x14.

SUMMER YOUTH ACTIVITIES
Wesley Youth will have activities, retreats, and much more this summer! Rising 6th graders through rising 12th graders are welcome to participate. For a full summer calendar, stop by the youth room or email david@wesleyssi.org.

SOUTH AFRICA PROJECT
Stephen Johnson will be participating in CRU (formerly Campus Crusade for Christ) Summer Projects in Durban, South Africa. Projects are month-long opportunities for college students to spread the Gospel to other nations as they volunteer with orphanages, HIV/AIDS Hospices, after school programs, and help people throughout the community. If you would like to support Stephen financially, checks can be made payable to “CRU” or to Wesley UMC with “Stephen Johnson–CRU mission” in the memo.

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL
Everywhere a Fun Fair is the theme for this year’s VBS, scheduled for June 10-14 from 9:00am–noon. Rising Pre-K through rising 5th graders will meet welcoming neighbors from the Bible and explore the everyday lives of neighbors from different places. To volunteer or register your child for this fun-filled week, click here. For information, please email Kristy Schueneman:  kschueneman@yahoo.com.

VBS ITEMS NEEDED
VBS is fast approaching, and we need  the following items: five large white trash cans, large artificial Palm trees, plywood, a cotton candy machine, a popcorn machine, and a bouncy house. If you can donate or loan any of these items, email Angie Fedisin at angiefedisin@gmail.com. Your help will be greatly appreciated.

CARENET BOTTLES
Wesley is participating in the CareNet Baby Bottle Campaign again this year. To participate, pick up a baby bottle from the basket in the breezeway and return it to Wesley by Father’s Day, June 16. The money you donate will help provide area CareNet centers with funds to continue programs aimed at providing practical support and counseling for pregnant women, mothers in need, and at risk youth.
